BASE TYPE
ZX-550

Replace ceramic and PTFE sliding units

ZX-550 (PTFE) - is a thermoplastic synthetic composite material.

FEATURES

  • Low stick-slip tendancy (the effect of discontinuous glide)

  • Hydrolysis resistance

  • Weathering resistant

  • No water absorption

  • Good machinability

  • Bondable

  • Chemical resistance to organic solvents and chemicals, petroleum products

CHARACTERISTICS

  • Working temperature: -250°C to +240°C (+260°C)

  • Surface pressure (p): max. 8 (12) MPa

  • Sliding speed (v): max. 250 m/min

  • Fatigue (S): tensile fatigue strength at 20 °C and 1E06 stress cycles, 1 Hz = 7 MPa

  • UV-radiation: resistant (1000 hours Xenon DIN 53597). Gamma-radiation: Limit absorbed dose 50 kGy

  • Water: max. water absorption: 0 %, up to +250°C resistant

  • Fire behavior: Oxygen index (LOI): 90 %, classification: V-0 (UL94)

ADVANTAGES

The advantages of ZX-550 over PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene, teflon, ftoroplast-4):

  • 1000% higher wear resistance

  • Higher stiffness and hardness

  • The modulus of elasticity in flexture is 30% higher.

  • Lower expansion and wear coefficient

  • Improved pv-value
