Materials of TD Plastmass Group LLC passed the first stage of testing at the facilities of PJSC Gazprom (www.gazprom.ru).
Composite materials based on heat-resistant polymers manufuctered by Plastmass Group successfully passed the the first stage of important tests under the leadership of the engineer-technologist, Ph.D. Khalyavkin Aleksey Aleksandrovich and senior researcher at Plastmass Group, Ph.D. Dmitry Vladimirovich Loshodkin in the Astrakhan branch of Gazprom.
The goal of the tests was to determine the possibility of replacing “Uranus” (brand) anti-friction cast iron (an analog of necromase) with domestic-made polymer composites. The test objects were imported submersible pumps and spare parts made of cast iron.
Plain bearing materials according to the supplier’s drawings were manufactured by Plastmass Group. These parts were placed in pumps from Gazprom in spring 2018.
For more than a year, the experimental part worked without any comment in a highly abrasive environment. The pumps have recently been removed for routine inspection. The results of the inspection, recorded in the protocols of the expert commission, showed that the material was not subjected to abrasive wear and the tests can be continued.
