Development Director of the Plastmass Group Company (company resident of the Skolkovo Foundation) Dmitry Loshadkin took part in the round-table discussion “Development of business cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Korea”, which was held on December 13, 2019 at 15:00 at the Expocenter in Moscow in the during the festival "Days of the Far East 2019".
The moderator of the event was Anna Akparova, author and presenter of the Far Eastern Priority project, Assistant of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation - Plenipotentiary of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yu.P. Trutnev.
As part of the discussion, the particularities of business operations in South Korea were discussed. This year, Plastmass Group has acquired more than 40 tons of polymer materials for testing in South Korea and plans to increase the demand by at least seven thousand tons in 2020.
In addition to cooperation with the Republic of Korea, the attendees discussed the possibility of developing the synthesis of special monomer and polymer raw materials in the Russian Far East. Dmitry Loshadkin noted that necessary opportunities are in The Russian Far East, but we continue to export natural gas. Based on the results of the round-table discussion, the proposals will be sent to Trutnev on the possibilities of cooperation in the synthesis of polymers between Plastmass Group and governmental administration of the Russian Far East Federal District. In particular, it is planned to begin negotiations on the development of the synthesis of polyetheretherketone (PEEK), polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), polyetherimide (PEI) and a number of other special-purpose polymers.
