PLASTMASS™ PP (polypropylene) plastic has a high chemical resistance, high hardness and high impact resistance. These properties are particularly evident in the low temperature range. Our plastics are manufactured under high quality standards in our factory in Russia.

CHARACTERISTICS OF PP

The material can withstand temperatures up to 110 °C under constant load (140 °C in short-term operation).

ADVANTAGES OF PP

PLASTMASS™ PP materials can be easily bent without damaging the material. It retains its flexibility and ductility even under strong mechanical influences. It is a low-wear material that has a very high abrasion and wear resistance.

TYPES OF PLASTMASS™ PP SHEETS

Polypropylene films are extruded. Different types of polypropylene films are distinguished depending on the extrusion method:

  1. Homogeneous polypropylene films. Marking: PP-N. Type of raw material: monolithic polypropylene.

  2. Copolymer polypropylene films. Marking: PP-S. Type of raw material: polypropylene + polyethylene.

  3. Unstructured polypropylene sheets. Marking: PP - R.

  4. Modified polypropylene films. They differ in: delayed combustion (PP-S); conductive (PP-EL); antistatic combination (PP-EL-S).

APPLICATION OF PLASTMASS™ PP

  • The material is used to manufacture transport and storage containers for the food and chemical industries

  • Parts for electroplating

  • Horticulture and agriculture: parts for greenhouses, pools, garden furniture, garden decorations, fence covers and much more

  • Ventilation ducts and dust catchers

  • Parts for electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and the automotive industry

PROCESSING POLYPROPYLENE

​In most applications polypropylene semi-finished products have to be processed further. This is done using the following methods: cutting, sawing, grinding, drilling, turning and milling. We recommend a high feed speed and a low tool speed to avoid burning the material. PLASTMASS™ PP sheets keep their shape over a long period and have a long service life.
