The metal surfaces of backhoe buckets suffer from corrosion, particularly during excavation work in which the buckets come into contact with hard rock and moisture. Our linings protect the paint layer and the metal from rock and abrasive particles.

This means that excavator buckets no longer have to be exchanged, which in turn saves costs. In addition, the bulk goods can be dumped more easily, which saves time in operational processes.


Moist loads such as sand, clay, coal, granular chemicals that are transported by dump trucks can adhere or freeze to the transport surface. This often means that moist bulk goods cannot be fully unloaded, which reduces the load capacity of the dump truck, increases the unloading time and increases fuel consumption.

In mining and processing plants, railway wagons are tipped sideways to unload the copper ore and coal into the receiving funnel. The main operational problem arises that the walls of the funnels wear out quickly due to the impacting bulk material.This leads to frequent repairs and plant stops. PLASTMASS™ UHMWPE & HMWPE linings protect the funnel walls from impacting bulk materials, which increases the life of the walls enormously. In addition, our material dampens the impact noise and lowers the noise level.


  1. First, the optimal material for the lining is selected according to the requirements of the customer and according to the corresponding calculations by our engineers.

  2. Depending on the application, sheets with standard sizes from our warehouse can be used or we produce plastic sheets with spezial sizes for the corresponding application.

  3. Before assembly, the panels are cut to size if necessary. The cutting is done with millimeter precision on our machines. You get perfect cut edges without burrs or rough edges.

  4. The plastic plates are then mounted on the surface to be protected. The choice of lining fastenings depends on the purpose of the equipment and the chosen material.

  5. The most efficient way of fastening the panels is with screws and stud bolts. The holes for the screws are closed or welded with plugs. The joints of the panels are closed with the hand extruder.

  6. To prevent that bulk goods get under the lining, the top edges of the lining are closed with a steel plate.
